Thịt heo rửa sạch, để ráo rồi cắt thành những viên nhỏ. Ướp thịt 5ml nước tương, 1 muỗng cà phê dầu hào, 5ml rượu gia vị, và 1/4 muỗng canh nước gừng trong ít nhất 15 phút. Chuẩn bị nước sốt chua ngọt: trộn 80ml nước, 60ml giấm gạo, 3 muỗng canh đường, 2 muỗng cà phê tinh bột khoai tây và 1/4 muỗng cà phê muối, đun trên bếp cho đến khi tạo thành nước sốt hơi sệt.
Trộn 50g bột mì, 20g bột khoai tây và 1/2 muỗng cà phê bột nở, cho thêm ít nước, đánh đều tay thành hỗn hợp bột lỏng. Đánh trứng đều tay để lòng đỏ và lòng trắng quện vào nhau, đổ trứng vào hỗn hợp bột mì, bột khoai tây và bột nở. Nếu bột mì còn vón cục, thêm tiếp nước, trộn cho đến khi thành một hỗn hợp sánh, mịn, nhuyễn. Cho dầu ngập đáy chảo, đun nóng với lửa cao vừa. Nhúng thịt lợn qua bột và nhúng qua dầu ăn trước khi cho vào chiên. Chiên ngập dầu cho đến khi thịt vàng đều hai mặt thì vớt ra. Cho ớt chuông, hành tây, dứa, cà rốt vào đảo chín tới.
Cho thịt heo chiên và rau củ vào nước sốt, đun nhỏ lửa cho đến khi thịt ngấm và rau mềm vừa phải thì cho ra đĩa. Thịt heo xào chua ngọt hấp dẫn là món ăn ngon miệng đưa cơm với thịt nạc heo cắt viên nhỏ, nhúng hỗn hợp bột trứng, gia vị chiên chín giòn rồi xào cũng hỗn hợp sốt chua chua, ngọt ngọt, béo thơm.
