Ngâm bún khô trong nước khoảng 20 phút, sau đó vớt ra để ráo.
Cắt sợi các nguyên liệu: cà rốt, hành tây, hành lá, bắp cải, ớt khô và lạp xưởng. Riêng tôm thì rửa sạch, sơ chế rồi để cho ráo nước. Lúc này, đánh đều trứng rồi chiên nhanh, sau khi trứng chín thì cắt sợi, để sẵn.
Làm nóng chảo với 2 muỗng canh dầu, sau đó thêm lạp xưởng, tôm vào xào trong khoảng 10 giây. Kế đến, cho ớt khô, cà rốt, bắp cải và hành vào xào chung thêm khoảng 30 giây nữa.
Rắc bột cà ri vào. Tiếp theo, cho bún khô đã được ngâm mềm vào. Nếu sợi bún dài quá có thể ngắt khúc ra cho vừa ăn.
Nêm nếm gia vị rồi xào đều từ 1-2 phút. Sau khi thấy bún chuyển sang màu vàng do đã bám đều bột cà ri, cho thêm dầu mè, nước tương, tiêu, hành lá, và ít trứng cắt sợi vào. Trộn đều tất cả và xào thêm một lúc, rồi tắt bếp.
